Patio Heater by Area Heated is your patio big or small?
The range of Patio Heaters available through the Solamagic® range covers virtually all eventualities for the domestic and commercial leisure markets with safe, economic and instant heat. Here we detail for you the areas covered by a variety of heaters and configurations, with a brief explanation of Infrared Heat.
What Infrared is & How Infrared Heat Works
The heat produced by a Solamagic® Patio Heater is a product of infrared light which is beyond the human being’s visible light spectrum. The reason we feel warmth from an infrared heater is because our skin and clothes absorb the light waves, which emit heat radiation. Infrared radiation is a natural form of radiation which accounts for nearly 50 % of the total radiation spectrum of the sun. When infrared radiation comes into contact with our skin it triggers a pleasant warming sensation. This is why it is also affectionately known as “heat radiation”. Without the daily dose of infrared radiation from the sun there would be no life on Earth. Similar to the difference between standing directly in sunlight, as opposed to standing in the shade, we feel the warmth as the light waves from the Solamagic® patio heaters meet us.
